When caring counts, we are there.
Providing families a well maintained place of interment for their loved ones.
The grounds cover approximately 15 acres, and overlook the city of Charleston - downtown. Over the years we have built a reputation for neatness and excellent lawn care. We keep our groups well maintained through frequent mowing, as well as maintaining the vegitation. We are continuously aware of the fact that families who purchase interment rights in Mountain View should have the best of care, not only at the time of the funeral services, but in the future as well. You owe it to your family to choose wisely.

Mountain View Memorial Park was originally known as the Bradford Addition of Springhill Cemetery. Interments began early in the 1900's. In 1956, Roy B. Sears purchased this portion from the City of Charleston and renamed it Mountain View Memorial Park. He established a perpetual care trust fund, administered by a local bank, to assure the cemetery would be maintained through the years. His desire was to develop a cemetery that would provide residents with a neat - well groomed place of honoring the deceased members of area families. Regulations were established for the grounds regarding interments, memorialization and floral arrangements.
The cemetery is divided into four sections: Section One, Garden of Memories, The Sanctuary, and The Mausoleum Terrace. Section One is located in the top portion of the cemetery and has some of the earliest interments. The Garden of Memories area is located in the center of the cemetery. Our newest section, The Sanctuary, is located in the bottom area. This is the largest section and has been designed to allow upright memorialization on a majority of the lots, be it a single grave, or a family estate lot. The Mausoleum Terrace is exclusively for those prefering above ground entombment, however mausoleums are permitted in other sections. Our Columbarium of Serenity is available for interment of cremains. The collumbarium has 40 individual niches .
